Hua Hin is a seaside town just a couple of hours south of Bangkok. People have been flocking to Hua Hin for many years, and the Royal Family of Thailand have long maintained palaces there.

Khao Takiab – The Beacon of Hua Hin

When you’re on Hua Hin Beach, and you gaze south down along the coast, you'll undoubtedly be able to spot Khao Takiab. It rises like a beacon on the shoreline to look down over the town, almost like a guardian. This hill of limestone and the area around it house some charming features of Hua Hin that are worth exploring.
The hill is also locally known as 'Monkey Mountain', and you'll find out why as soon as you start to explore it. There are a large number of macaques that call this Khao Takiab their home. They’re generally harmless, but don’t carry food where they can snatch it.
Khao Takiab is also home to a temple that provides a panoramic view of the entire town of Hua Hin and the coastline beyond. The hill also conceals a quiet and peaceful beach called Khao Takiab Beach that makes for a great day in the sun with its shallow water and wide sand beach.

For the best coffee in a great atmosphere, you have your pick of eclectic cafes. Two of the best that reflect the other attractions of the town are the Ronin Capsule Café and the Eureka Beach Café Hua Hin.

If you’d rather look at the horizon, then head to Eureka Beach Café Hua Hin. This coffee hotspot features a location right on the beach that also offers a large lawn where you can stretch out and enjoy the day over fresh-brewed coffee or a variety of drinks from their extensive menu.
