Patong is a bustling beach with plenty of options for food and entertainment but to access some of the more interesting cultural experiences in Phuket, the areas around Patong have more to offer. Sure, you can always take the family to any of the large malls such as Jungceylon or Central Festival or maybe even catch some of the nearby museums but for a real Thai cultural experience, you need something deeper.

Phuket continues to attract people for beach vacations and the laidback life but its geographical location in the Andaman Sea makes it an interesting cultural outpost.
