Fill Your Day and Nights with Activities without Ever Leaving Patong

People are always looking for exciting activities to pursue on their holidays. But if you’re someone who doesn’t want to waste a lot of their holiday time on public transportation, Patong may be just the destination for you.

Patong offers a colourful variety of sports, shopping, great restaurants and seafood, and the best nightlife in Phuket. For some of these activities, you’d waste time traveling far and wide to find them anywhere else on the island.

The sheer concentration of all these attractions has made Patong the undisputed favourite of all the island’s resort areas for tourists from around the world.

More Daytime Activities than You Have Time For

For water sports aficionados, Patong is ground zero. Here you’ll find a number of dive shops ready to book your trip to any of the many SCUBA diving sites in the region. Patong beach offers a slew of water sports activities including: windsurfing, Hobie Cat sailing, banana boat rides, jet skiing, parasailing and water skiing. There are number of excellent snorkelling areas around Patong Bay as well.

For people wanting simply to lie on a quiet beach, Patong has both Freedom Beach and Paradise Beach that are just a few minute’s boat ride from Patong Beach. They both offer a peaceful and beautiful respite from the constant activity of Patong.

When you’re achy and tired from all the watersports, head to one of the scores of spas and massage therapists offering a number of different types of massage and wellness therapies.

Patong is also a shopping paradise. From Thai handicrafts of wood, silk and other natural materials, to custom tailored clothes and well-known, brand name, fashion items, Patong has it all. And the awesome variety of shopping choices is much appreciated as the Christmas season of gift-giving approaches.

If the weather turns rainy, head to Jungceylon, a shopping mall in the middle of town where you’ll be able to find not just brand name stores and shops, but also spend some time bowling on one of the sixteen lanes they have to offer, challenge your wits by entering their escape room or while away a couple of hours watching a first-run movie in their five-screen Cineplex.

Evening and Night Time Entertainment in Patong

As the sun sets over Patong Bay, you will be getting hungry after a fun-packed day of activities. Patong offers more restaurants in one area than any other town on the island. Choose from Asian and Middle-eastern restaurants featuring Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Iranian, Lebanese and Turkish fare and western restaurants featuring American, French, Irish, Italian, German, Mexican and Scandinavian dishes.

After dinner, venture to one of the three Muay Thai Boxing stadiums around town to watch exciting bouts from soon-to-be champions and experience the fascinating traditions of Muay Thai. Or, take in the cabaret show at Phuket Simon Cabaret. This cabaret features exotically and colourfully costumed transvestite performers, well-choreographed dance numbers, comedy skits and more.

Finally, dance the night away at one of the dozens of discos around Bangla Road and Beach Road. Or, simply sit in one of the many bars along Bangla Road soaking up the lively, colourful atmosphere and watching the parade of partying night owls walk up and down the road.

It’s a mesmerizing sight that you could watch all night long. But the long day of activities will eventually force you to head back to your
Rentals for the Holidays premium accommodations to get some much-needed sleep. Just so you can get up and do it all again tomorrow.
