Alternative Nightlife in Pattaya

Pattaya is known worldwide for its crazy nightlife but not all of it is seen positively. Visitors are aware of the beer bars and gogo clubs in the city, however many of them do not want to party or drink on Walking Street. Various guides tend to glamourize Walking Street or even LK Metro by stating that these are the ultimate night spots for enjoying Pattaya. The fact is, the city has many nightlife options and some of them are nowhere near the area. Here are some of our recommendations.
Enjoy from up High
Pattaya doesn’t have the skyline of a major metropolitan city such as Bangkok or Hong Kong but it does have a beautiful coastline. Besides, the night is a bit calmer and quieter from higher up and you get to experience the bustling city in a whole new light.The Horizon Bar and Restaurant at the Hilton Hotel is an excellent vantage point to enjoy some drinks while enjoying the view. It is 34 floors up and it is nice and cool up there on most nights.
The highest restaurant is the Meridian Revolving Restaurant in Pattaya Park Tower near Jomtein Beach. This restaurant is on the 54th floor and since it revolves slowly, the view keeps changing!
Great Beer but not a Beer Bar
The Pattaya beer bars are known for more than just their beer but we will instead talk more about the places in Pattaya that make the best beer around. Some of the best beer brewed in Thailand can be found in these Pattaya breweries.The Hops Brew House is probably the oldest microbrewery in Pattaya. Founded in 1995 and situated very conveniently on Beach Road, Hops is a very large old style bar with lots of options for food. The beers available here are quite a wide range and you can see that they have been using their 20 years of experience to create something impressive.
Beerfest is a fun and interesting diversion slightly further away from The Hops Brew House and Beach Road. While they don’t have as much variety as Hops Brew House, Beerfest makes up for it with a fun atmosphere and some inviting events that they host every now and then. Wizard Beer is right around the corner from Beerfest and while it isn’t as open as the two other bars, beer aficionados might like this one the most. The Wizard Beer brews are varied and polished and they are reasonably priced as well.

Live Music and Good times
Relaxing with a drink and some nice live music is the ideal way to chill out in Pattaya. There are some inviting and easy live music venues in the city. Many of these are on Walking Street but if you want to avoid that noise and just stay for the music, there are couple of nice venues. The Cave, just off Soi Buakhao, is a small but electric venue for live music. The bands might not be very large nor is the venue but you get to listen to some decent local talent and reasonable prices to boot.Another favourite is Yuth Bar on Pattayasaisong Road. It has been growing in popularity of late and its neon pink lights add a vigorous and electric atmosphere to the live act onstage. There’s also Rolling Live 3, which is bigger than the other two and seems to be all about the music. They have live music gigs very often.
There are many more interesting and fun night spots in Pattaya.
