Boats are taken to another level with the Phuket Rendezvous. Not only will there be plenty of the latest boat designs available to take a tour through, but the event will feature many facets of the luxury lifestyle industry.
This event replaces the 14-year old Phuket International Boat Show and it promises to raise the bar to new levels of exhibits, entertainment and things to see.
There will be over 50 new luxury yachts featured that you can board and take a tour through. On the shore there is plenty of entertainment and kid’s workshops to keep everyone in the family happy.
Boat Show History in Phuket
The old Phuket International Boat Show grew out of the King’s Cup races which were held every December around his Majesty King Bhumibol’s birthday. The late King was an avid sailing aficionado and his love of sailboat racing inspired him to host a series of sailboat races in the turquoise waters around Phuket.The event soon grew to attract racing yachts from all over the world and after the week-long event was over, the boats tended to hang around and enjoy the beautiful weather and sights around Phuket.
As there were so many of the world’s top boats gathered in one place, the idea of a boat show was the obvious next step. So the Phuket International boat show was conceived and held for fourteen years consecutively.
